TECHLIBplus is an integrated library automation and management systemdesigned to streamline and facilitate the day-to-day operations of afully electronic library, providing patron access, cataloging,acquisition processing, and circulation and serials control. Developedfor use in business and technical libraries, TECHLIBplus helps usersmanage traditional library material, citation, full-text documents,abstracts, table of contents and images. TECHLIBplus features an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) for novice users and a powerfulcommand capability for more experienced users. With client/servercomputing, MS Windows users throughout an organization can easilyretrieve library resources and communicate with library staff directlyfrom their desktops. Since TECHLIBplus is built on InformationDimension's BASIS Document Manager which provides an extended-relationaldatabase structure, users can connect to other internal databases andmanage files of internally created reports or databases acqured fromother information sources. Users can also manage compound documentscontaining rich text, images, graphics, and word processing.
